LICM Guest Wi-Fi Acceptable Use Policy

This policy outlines the acceptable use of the guest Wi-Fi network provided by the Long Island Children’s Museum (LICM) to ensure a safe, secure, and productive environment for all students, staff, and guests.

This policy applies to all individuals who access the guest Wi-Fi network within the premises of the Long Island Children’s Museum, located at 11 Davis Ave, Garden City NY 11530.

By connecting to the guest Wi-Fi network, users agree to abide by this Acceptable Use Policy.

Acceptable Use Policy:

· Users connecting to the public Wi-Fi network must be at least 18 years of age or older.

· Browsing the web, sending and receiving personal emails, and other minimal personal use that does not interfere with our public environment and other visitors are permitted.

· Social Media access is granted, but users must follow the policies of the social media site being accessed.

· High-bandwidth activities like streaming video or music should be minimized to ensure network availability for everyone.

Prohibited Use:

· Using the network for commercial purposes or personal profit.

· Using the network for any form of network attack, spamming or scanning.

· Users must not attempt to bypass security protocols or access unauthorized networks or systems.

· Access to or distribution of inappropriate, illegal, or harmful content (such as pornography, hate speech, or content promoting violence) is strictly prohibited.

· Users must respect copyright laws and not engage in piracy or unauthorized distribution of copyrighted material.
