How do you connect to the land? How do you celebrate the land? How do you care for the land?
These are questions we have been exploring with our community and with artist Ella Mahoney from the Wampanoag Tribe of Gay Head as we prepared our Land Acknowledgement statement. Ella has created beautiful silk paintings reflecting the statement for the outer lobby of the Museum, as well as banners for Our Backyard celebrating our connection to the land. Join us as we celebrate the installation of these pieces, create land stewardship symbols that highlight ways we can care for our earth.
