Tanabata, also known as the Star Festival, is a Japanese festival celebrated every July. This festival celebrates the legend of the deities Orihime and Hikoboshi (represented by the stars Vega and Altair), who are separated by the Milky Way, and are only allowed to meet once a year on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month of the lunisolar calendar. Drop-in between 1 and 3 p.m. to make a traditional Tanzaku wishing ornaments and learn about this wonderful festival.
