Massapequa sixth grader Ryan Hirschhorn has created art to support Ukraine’s freedom fight. His sculpture calls attention to the war in Ukraine and educate people on how they can help. Drop in anytime between 11am and 1pm to meet Ryan, learn what inspired him to create his collection and make your own paper version of his sculpture.
"AdvoKids” is a monthly series focusing on children learning what it means to be an advocate for themselves and others. Adults will learn how they can support their child’s self-advocacy efforts, which promote confidence, resilience and empathy.
