The second of four artists in this series, NEA Artist-in-Residence Tohanash Tarrant will lead this workshop in Learning Traditions.
Join us at 11 am or 1 pm to learn how Tohanash Tarrant uses the tradition of appliqué in her artwork to bridge the past with the present in her family and community. Using vibrant, colorful fabrics, create your own appliqué medallion using Tohanash’s family design, and create your own symbol to represent your family culture. This program is approximately 60 minutes.
General museum admission purchase or reservation at 1pm or earlier is required to attend.
Fee: Free with Museum admission. Event tickets will be available at the Box Office the day of the event.
This project is supported in part by the National Endowment for the Arts.
