The third of four artists in this series, NEA Artist in Residence David Bunn Martine will lead this workshop in Learning Shinnecock History.
Join artist David Bunn Martine at 11 am or 1 pm to learn about wigwams, some of the original structures that were used by the Shinnecock Nation in the past. Explore what Long Island might have looked like long ago when wigwams were used. Use this knowledge to create beautiful landscape paintings that show wigwams in the natural environment. This program is approximately 60 minutes.
General museum admission purchase or reservation at 1pm or earlier is required to attend.
Fee: Free with Museum admission. Event tickets will be available at the Box Office the day of the event.
This project is supported in part by the National Endowment for the Arts.
